It makes me want to practice my language more. The voice part is a great idea.

I use this program to help read Norwegian news sights. It really helps learning the language. The translations are usually exact. I really like the "speak it" function, to hear a full phrase or word. This software, for any language, is a must if youre actually studying a language. Ive downloaded most of the Norwegian language learning apps, and I use this one the most.
This is very helpful. I decided to teach myself Norwegian one day when I was bored. All of my friends thought I was wasting my time, but they were wrong!
Ok to begin with one major word translates wrong 50% of the time. (how). Should never translate to "hvor". ( see even the screen shot shows this translating wrong)
It works perfectly it sounds like a real person.not a computer.it has the accent and everything.
I guess I didnt read the description closely enough, I thought this was Norwegian lessons. Its just translation. You type in something, and they write it and speak it back to you. That would be cool if I were in Norway and needed assistance. I was looking for something with which to learn the language.
Okay so when I was a lilttle girl I knew some Norwegian and now that im older I kinda need help on it. This app is okay but it needs help. On this thing in norwegian we say hello as goodarg( I think I spelled that wrong) but on this it says hei. Which is corret too, but on like sentences its messed up. It will make some sentences in norwegian and half the words in the other English. I like this app but it needs a upgrade!!! It should be more like Rosetta Stone
Its not highest degree at all... You put in a word in English, and it doesnt do it, you put in the Norwegian word for it, and it works... Work on the dictionary with it and it will be worth buying. Otherwise, forget it.
I bought this before a business trip to Oslo but never got to use it because it requires a data connection which for $19.00 a MB is not worth it.
Back to 5 stars !!! This update works perfect on IOS 4. Very nice upgrade to interface as well. I have just purchased your newly rolled-out languages too.
I was able to teach myself fluent norweigian thanks to this app! Going to Norway with family soon!
No where in the app description does it mention that you need an Internet connection to translate. It mentions you can use this same app on your iPad and iPod, which do not have 3G capability and therefore need to have a wifi signal to connect to the Internet. This would have been very nice to know as I would have never bought this! Its useless to me seeing as we just moved to Norway and havent had time to get phone services set up, so I cant use this to figure out what the heck kind of food in buying at the store. Major disappointment.
I expected a dictionary that worked offline, but this is more or less Google Translate. And Google Translate is free! This only works if you are connected to wifi. As to how accurate it is I do not know, but it seems to work. I would check out Google first.
This app requires a constant connection to be useful... But anywhere youre likely to use this app you wont have it! I expected an offline-capable dictionary, not a cheap interface over google translate. I regret that the author got to keep 70% of my $2, as they sincerely do not deserve it. Buyer beware!
Its actually worse than Google Translate with nothing to offer that you couldt find there. Wasted money unfortunatelly as there are a lot of better options out there.
Ive used this app regularly for over two years, and with the recent update they stuck ads into my Saved Translations folder. Shame on you, software writer
Is it to translate speech or just what is keyed In? Think I bought the wrong product. I want to have a Norwegian speak and the phone translate it. I heard this was possible for travelers.
